About Dr. Jamie Lawrence & the Vision for Lawrence Legacy Co.
Dr. Jamie Lawrence has been around the music of the church since childhood. His grandmother played piano at their small country church. His father was a pastor who also sang in a traveling gospel group. Jamie began playing piano at age five, guitar and bass at age seven, and drums at age ten. When he made a profession of faith at age thirteen, he knew God had plans for him. The music of the church is instilled in his heart, so much so that he has always strived to grow in this discipline called worship. More than thirty-five years after that profession of faith, Jamie is constantly studying the discipline and art of worship, while teaching college students, mentoring worship pastors, and training worship teams to serve the church well and worship God whole-heartedly. He also leadw worship and encourages the youth of the church to get involved.
Family
As Drs. Jamie & Elisha have grown in their faith, they have also raised two amazing and talented children who love serving the church musically. They choose to worship because it is a part of who they are. Drs. Lawrence agreed that the legacy they want to leave behind is one of worship and study; Something that will glorify God for years to come. Thus, the Lawrence Legacy Co. was born.
As a family, they believe in the value of authentic and effective worship ministry and how those efforts can impact the life and health of the church.
Vision
The vision for Lawrence Legacy Co. has three components: Worship, Ministry, and Consultation.
Dr. Jamie Lawrence never wants to get away from his core calling, which is to lead worship. He leads worship with the family, with college students, and sits in with different church teams on a regular basis.
The ministry component is teaching, primarily about worship, how it works in our lives from a scriptural basis, and how we must submit to God's plan as our enduring purpose in the kingdom of God..
With decades of experience and much education, Dr. Jamie is also available to mentor and help train worship teams for impact and efficiency. This consultation is for the health of the church, the worship ministry, and the individuals within the ministry. From media and audio/visual ministry to the platform and everything in between, having a fresh set of eyes stepping in to speak life is essential.
